Olivia: “I really only have Facebook so that would be my favorite. I use it daily, and it’s nice to be able to keep in touch with friends from high school and there are people who are abroad and that’s really the only way to talk to them, especially with the time change.”
Katherine: “I only have Facebook and Instagram. I kind of like Intstagram because it’s like Facebook but with less commitment. So you can still see what people are up to without having to be overloaded with other information that you didn’t even ask for. People love seeing pictures and Instagram is all about pictures. I still use Facebook daily, mainly just to keep in touch with friends abroad and things like that. —Olivia Allen (L), New York, N.Y., and Katherine Tobeason, Bedford Hills, N.Y.

I do have a Facebook account, but I may use it at the most once a month. I text frequently, as well as use my e-mail all the time. —Larry Parsons, Princeton
Eric: “I don’t have a device that would allow me to use any social media apps. I go with a flip phone and stay in touch with calls and texts.”
Theis: “I really like Bands in Town. It’s a great way to connect to all of the bands you have ‘liked’ on Facebook or ‘followed’ on Twitter. It tells you what kind of shows are nearby and when they are happening. And it links other artists that you may be interested in. And it kind of helps me organize my calendar around the music I want to see locally.
